Every number on this site is a model estimate, not a fact about an institution and not advice about one. It is built from data that lags reality by a quarter, using models that were right often enough to be useful and wrong often enough to matter. Use it to decide who to call first. Do not use it to decide who to lend to, buy, or walk away from.
Information only
CUSignals publishes derived analytics about credit unions as institutions, for general business-research purposes. It is a prioritization tool for people whose job is to decide which institutions to look at next. It is not a system of record, not a due-diligence substitute, not a credit file, and not a source you should cite as authority for a factual claim about any named institution without verifying that claim independently.
No professional advice, no fiduciary relationship
Nothing on this site or in the product is investment, credit, merger, accounting, tax, legal or other professional advice, and no one here is a licensed adviser. Using the Service creates no fiduciary, advisory or agency relationship. No score, ranking, probability or match is a recommendation to transact with, acquire, merge with, lend to, invest in, sell to, or avoid any institution. Every decision you take remains yours, and you should conduct your own diligence and take qualified professional advice before acting.
What a score actually is
A score is the output of a documented scorecard applied to institution-level financial data. It is a relative statement — this institution looks more like the historical pattern than that one does — expressed on a 0–100 scale for convenience. Specifically:
- A buying-propensity score is not knowledge that an institution intends to buy anything. It is a statement that its financial profile resembles those of institutions that have historically bought in that category.
- A merger probability is a calibrated statistical estimate over a one-year horizon, not a prediction about a specific institution and certainly not knowledge of any actual discussion. A 20% probability means roughly one in five institutions scored that way historically merged within a year — and four in five did not.
- A franchise-value or liquidity-stress score is a comparative index constructed from public ratios. It is not a valuation, not an appraisal, and not a supervisory assessment of safety and soundness.
- A buyer-seller match is an inferred fit from two profiles. It is not an indication that either party is in the market or would entertain an approach.
Every score decomposes into weight × feature, and the weights are published. Read the decomposition before you rely on the number: it is there precisely so that a score you disagree with can be interrogated rather than taken on faith.
No guarantee of accuracy or completeness
The underlying data is drawn from multiple data sources and reconciled through a proprietary data pipeline into a single quarterly panel. It may be incomplete, delayed, restated by the institution after we ingested it, or wrong at source. Normalization and account-code mapping are themselves interpretive and can introduce error. A quarterly panel is a lagging view: an institution can change materially between refreshes, and a merger, a leadership change or a liquidity event will not appear until the next one.

Backtested results and forward-looking statements
Where we publish validation figures — an out-of-time AUC, a top-decile capture rate, a lift multiple — those are backtest results measured against what already happened. They describe how the model scored a historical period it was not fitted on. They are not a forecast, not a guarantee, and not a promise that the next period will resemble the last. Model performance degrades as the environment drifts away from the one the model was fitted in; rate regimes, consolidation waves and regulatory changes all do that. Any statement about what will happen is a forward-looking statement, is subject to risks we cannot enumerate, and should be read as an opinion about probability rather than a statement of fact.
Corrections
If a figure, a score or an institution profile looks wrong, tell us. Email admin@infinidatum.net with the institution, the field and what you believe the correct value to be. We will check it against our panel, correct it at the next refresh if the error is ours, and tell you either way. We would much rather be corrected than be quietly wrong.
Independence and non-affiliation
CUSignals is an independent research product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, licensed by, or acting on behalf of any regulator, supervisory authority, insurer, trade association, or any credit union or other institution it covers. No institution reviews, approves or has any right of approval over its own score before publication. Institution names and marks appear descriptively, to identify the subject of an analysis. Our commercial arrangements are set out in the Disclosures.

Where the Service links to or references material we did not produce, we neither endorse nor verify it, and we are not responsible for it. Following an external link takes you to a site governed by someone else’s terms and privacy policy, not ours.
Availability
We do not guarantee that the Service will be available, uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it. Refresh timing depends on when the underlying data becomes available to us, which is outside our control. Nothing on this page limits any commitment made in a signed agreement with you.
Limitation of liability
Your use of the Service, and any decision you or your clients take on the strength of it, is at your own risk. The limitation of liability in section 10 of the Terms of Use applies to everything on this page and is incorporated into it by reference.
